Job Description

Main Role Summary:

  • Reporting to the Country Manager, the incumbent is responsible for the full spectrum of HR functions for the China office (both Beijing and Shanghai) comprises of both local and regional employees.
  • A trusted advisor, the incumbent will partner closely with the management team members and ensuring the HR strategies are aligned with business goals.
  • The key areas of focus include Talent Acquisition, Employee Engagement, Talent Management and Succession Planning.
  • Additionally, the incumbent would also be responsible for mentoring and developing junior HR team members

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead and ensure all HR policies, practices and systems in areas such as compensation & benefits, talent management, staffing and learning & development, are properly developed and implemented in alignment to the overall global and regional framework.
  • Develop and deploy a systematic process/ methodology for identifying and attracting, assessing, tracking, developing and retaining the best employees and managerial staff for the organization.
  • Recruit for key positions and provide assistance for training and guidance with the Business. Undertake pro-active resourcing planning by working closely with the Business Directors to understand pipeline of work/projects being lined up.
  • Provide HR support and counsel regarding employee relations’ issues. Investigates complaints disciplinary actions, reductions in force and terminations, and coordinates with Asia HR Regional Headquarters.
  • Champion regular employee communication sessions to enhance greater sense of belonging amongst employees who are based in various sites across the country.
  • Hands-on in engaging with T&T Business Managers/Directors and employees on site locations with HR matters, and to counsel employees regarding career development, performance improvement, disciplinary actions, etc.
  • Partner with local Management teams to ensure positive external client relations.
  • Prepare periodic status reports concerning headcount, turnover, position openings, etc., to assure the best utilization of resources
  • Implement, monitor and report key HR metrics to support the overall business plan and customer expectations.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualifications in human resources, business administration or similar function.
  • Minimum of 8 years broad spectrum HR experience in fast paced and dynamic multi cultural MNC environment
  • Preferred candidates who is well versed with the HR practices, best practices and has exposure in a matrix organization.
  • Highly organized, and strong initiative with a passion for challenges
  • Excellent written and verbal English language communication skills with a sense of self-directedness and high drive for results.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with experience working closely with all employees within the organization
