Faculty of Business Administration
The CUHK Business School, a leading global business school in Hong Kong, seeks to appoint a high-calibre candidate to the position of Executive Officer II. Since its establishment in Hong Kong in 1963, the CUHK Business School has gained world recognition of nurturing business leaders with immense contributions in Asia Pacific. The School has been offering a comprehensive range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes (MBA, MSc, EMBA, MPhil and PhD) with over 4,600 students, as well as executive education. As a pioneering business school in Asia, it has one of the most extensive alumni networks in the region, with over 34,000 alumni around the world. The Alumni and Corporate Affairs Office plays a crucial role in (1) building and maintaining the School’s extensive alumni network; (2) tapping into alumni development to reinforce the School’s brand and reputation; and (3) developing lasting strategic partnerships with the corporate community to forge mutually beneficial relationships.

Executive Officer II (carrying the job title of ‘Assistant Manager, Alumni and Corporate Affairs Office’) (CUHK Business School)

Reporting to the Administrative Director of the Alumni and Corporate Affairs Office, the appointee will be responsible for (a) identifying, establishing and managing relationships with corporations and organisations to support the School’s strategic initiatives; (b) working closely with internal units to leverage the School’s alumni and industry relationships; (c) planning and executing communications plans to enhance the School’s alumni engagement and brand presence worldwide; (d) assisting in the development of fundraising initiatives; (e) managing the School’s CRM system and maintaining the most up-to-date alumni and corporate database; and (f) preparing presentations and reports on alumni and corporate engagement.

Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Marketing and Communications; (ii) fulfilled the English language requirements set out on the website: https://www.hro.cuhk.edu.hk/en-gb/languageforeo; (iii) an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, including fluency in Putonghua; (iv) at least 3 years’ post-qualification work experience, with a good track record in corporate/recruiter relations, business development, China relations, alumni engagement or fundraising; (v) exceptional organisational and interpersonal skills, particularly in relationship building; (vi) knowledge of CRM and data management systems; (vii) proven ability to work effectively as part of a team and to manage multi-projects independently under pressure; and (viii) strong communication and presentation skills.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test. Applicants must submit copies of certificates showing that they have fulfilled the language requirements and academic qualifications stated above, otherwise their applications may NOT be considered.

Appointment will be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
