Responsibilities

ROLE SUMMARY

To support the smooth running of the Art Department, assist students by preparing materials and providing administrative support. This is a permanent full time position which requires the staff member to work for 10.5 months of the year only (summer break is unpaid).

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of learning materials, equipment and resources (including preparation of, administration and resources for external examinations); maintenance of art studios
  • Assist with the preparation and mounting of display work (sometimes at height), preparation and administrative work for art department events (whole school displays, open evenings, annual art exhibitions, annual creativity days)
  • Control the stock of art materials and equipment
  • Order art materials and resources with suppliers
  • Assist teachers in the classroom during lessons when requested
  • Performs other duties and assumes accountabilities as apparent or as delegated, including mutually agreed upon objectives

  • Head of Art

 

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience is desirable but not essential
  • Fluent English is essential, Cantonese would be an advantage
  • Good computer skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Adobe Suite, Google docs)
  • Display and presentation skills are essential
