Our client, a leading retailer and wholesaler in Asia headquartered in Hong Kong, is looking for a high-caliber and energetic HR Manager to cope with their diverse business expansion.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Execute on all HR operations activities including recruitment with hands-on approach, for both China and Hong Kong offices
• Understand and execute on HR plans to support business growth
• Act as a communication bridge between the management and other staff

Recruitment (40%)

• Work with the management team to execute talent acquisition strategy (talent requirement, job description, acquisition channels, screening, interviewing, evaluation, reference checking, on-boarding)

HR Operations & Administration (40%)

• Proactively manage all HR activities to ensure smooth operations, including management whole employee lifecycle
• Ensure all HR documentations are prepared and maintained at a timely and accurate manner, including contract preparation, visa application, tax reporting etc.
• company and HR procedures and policies and documentation are properly maintained communicated and followed across all levels across the group
• Responsible for annual projects like performance appraisal, salary review and performance bonus
• Review payroll for Hong Kong and China. Act as back up for payroll processing
• Review, design and implement local HR policies and programs aligned to business needs and communicate effectively
• Well-versed and ensure company policies compliance with in HK Employment Ordinance and other related legislation

Employee Relations (15%)

• Provide coaching to staff at all levels, such as advise on people management, hiring decisions etc 
• Ensure company and HR procedures and policies and documentation are communicated and followed across all levels across the group
• Work on team building initiatives with marketing to build an open, communicative and collaborative culture
• Handle ad-hoc projects and related duties when required

Planning (5%)

• Work with the management team on headcount and payroll cost budgeting
• Work with the management team to review and analyze organization productivity and cost efficiency and make recommendations according to the business needs

REQUIREMENTS: 

• Degree Holder in Human Resources Management or related disciplines
• 10+ years of human resources, with experience gained in MNC or culturally diverse environment
• Experienced in managing small team, while able to work independently
• Hands-on approach with excellent understanding and practical experience in HR operations
• Conversant with Employment Ordinance and business practices in both Hong Kong & China
• A good team player with high level of integrity
• Positive work attitude and high learning ability
• Motivated self-starter with initiative
• Ability to work extended hours as needed
• Occasional day or overnight travel to Shenzhen as required
• Excellent command of spoken and written English, proficiency in Cantonese and Mandarin
