Job Description
Our client is one of the largest banks in the UK. They are currently expanding their APAC office for their capital markets business. They are looking for an experience Markets Compliance candidate to join their legal and compliance team.
Responsibilities:
- Report directly to the Head of Legal and Compliance and act as the deputy head of compliance working alongside several other colleagues
- Liaise directly with the HKMA and SFC on all regulatory issues and policy updates
- Assist the Head of Legal and Compliance in applying for any new license with the regulators
- Provide day to day compliance advisory to the trading floor for their fixed income business
- Work regionally covering other offices in APAC and will be working closely with the UK
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree preferably in Law
- 8-10 years compliance experience from an investment bank/securities house
- Product knowledge in Fixed Income
- Must have experience liaising with HKMA and SFC ; prefer license type 6
- Must be able to read and write chinese and speak cantonese; spoken english is a must
- Strong team player and be able to work independently
