Elevate’s client is a Top Tier Global bank with offices around the world.

As a Senior Banking and Finance Lawyer, you will support the banks in-house legal team. As an integral member of the legal and commercial team you will work independently and have exposure to a variety of tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Identify legal and contractual requirements, review, prepare, negotiate and finalise contracts with customers, including IT, outsourcing contracts, software licensing, procurement, and service contracts.
• Perform due diligence and research, advise internal clients.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with responsibilities for monitoring, reporting and meeting contractual, statutory and other legal obligations in connection with outsourcing relationships and outsourced functions or other complex vendor contracts.
• Provide legal counsel, coordinate and manage other legal activities relating to a variety of business, corporate or risk management functions, as assigned from time to time.
• Draft and review contracts and other types of documents, e.g. corporate records.

Experience:

• 10 Years PQE in general banking and finance roles.
• Senior commercial lawyer with commercial contract support experience in an in-house with a major corporate or at a renowned law firm.
• Amanah banking knowledge preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications:

• No need to have Malaysian law practicing certificate but knowledge or experience in working with Malaysia law would be beneficial.
