Job Description

 One of the leading Global banks, is looking for a 'Relationship Manager'/Trade Finance Manager' for their Corporate Banking & Trade Finance team, in Hong Kong. 

Relationship Manager, Trade  Finance  will be responsible for developing the trade related business at Hong Kong branch with special focus on Export Letter of Credit business opportunities with export oriented clients in China and Hong Kong. The incumbent will be responsible for acquiring and managing client relationships, delivering business growth and achieving the set business goals in terms of income.

 

Key Deliverables 

To perform and monitor the following activities 

  • Manage and grow the trade related businesses, especially with focus on Export LC, Open account export financing etc.
  • Focus on trade finance clients and manage  Export LC confirmation, Negotiation Advising, working capital limits utilization (import LC, TR, WDCL etc), Bills under collection business, etc
  • Develop business plans to ensure that revenue targets are achieved. Also develop & implement product sales strategy and tactical sales plan
  • Contacting China beneficiaries/Customers on the L/c advising, negotiation, Confirmation, Discounting and Trade Finance revenue as the business target
  • To develop and build client base for Export business to the targeted segments 

 

Knowledge/Skills required: 

  • Knowledge of Trade Product, Process, Procedures to enlarge the scope of active clients and generate revenue for bank
  • Knowledge of Customer segment in Hong Kong & China with regards to Trade Finance requirements
  • Experience in handling products like Letter of Credits, Trust receipt Loans, Back to Back LC, Invoice financing, Bills, Confirmation, Negotiation, Bank Guarantees, Standbys,  etc.
  • Knowledge of UCP, URDG, URR, ISBP and regulatory framework etc will be an added advantage.
  • Presentation skills ( PPT, MS office and Excel)
  • Good relationship skills for internal co-ordination and approvals.
  • English and Cantonese/Mandarin is essential
