Job Responsibilities:    

-        Draft and review commercial contracts, including licence agreements and distribution agreements for index and market data business, confidentiality agreements and service agreements, etc

-        Provide legal advice on various legal matters relating to the business

-        Ensure strict compliance with relevant statutory and regulatory requirements

-        Liaise with external legal advisors

-        Control the quality and cost of legal services provided by external legal advisors

-        Assist in ad hoc projects

Requirements:   

-        Successful candidate must have a Law degree or equivalent

-        4-5 years’ experience in drafting and reviewing commercial contracts and agreements

-        Good interpersonal and communications skills

-        Good commercial acumen

-        Strong analytical skills with ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadline

-        Strong writing skills in drafting papers and agreements in both English and Chinese (simplified Chinese)

-        Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; proficiency in Putonghua is a must
