The position is under the Technical Development Department in the organization structure of HKFA and is part of the Senior Management Team of the HKFA. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the appointee is accountable for the success of the Hong Kong, Senior Representative and Olympic (Under 23) Team in international competition as measured by ‘podium’ performance and AFC/FIFA rankings. The main duties are listed below.

Job Description

• To be responsible for selecting, training and preparing the Hong Kong senior and U23 age-group representative teams for international matches, competitions and championships.
• To ensure that national and U23 age-group teams perform to the top of their ability on the pitch and behave in an exemplary and professional manner off the pitch.
• To set targets for performance of teams and individuals and monitor performance against those targets.
• To report regularly to the Board and CEO on performance.
• To set the performance strategy for the representative teams and develop coordinated coaching programmes for players that achieve the strategy.
• To undertake tactical analysis and provide leadership to the team of senior coaches.
