Job Description

Our client is a dynamic and innovative design consultancy that specializes in workplace design. With relevant project experience in over 30 cities and 15 office locations in Australia, China, India, Thailand, Singapore and the United States,

They are seeking a dynamic leader to be the Business Head, for Hong Kong. Working closely with the MD and the Design Heads, the Project management team, the new Business Head will be accountable for managing the Studio’s P&L. Partner with clients, help them move to the next level in their workplace strategy and create new benchmarks and workplaces for the future.

In brief

  • You will be responsible for the Hong Kong regions business performance in conjunction with all departments of the region such as Business Development, Project Management and Design.
  • You will achieve financial goals set by the organization in order to meet the team and business targets (P&L).
  • You will be a key influence in client development , client management and project delivery strategy in the region and consult and showcase our value proposition to existing and prospective clients and recommend the right business and workplace solutions.
  • As a thought leader, you will be developing the next level of strategy for design and build projects and collaborate with the studio design & project management heads for ongoing projects and new pitches to strengthen brand position and design capabilities and win business in the region.
  • You will identify new workplace trends as well as new partners to engage with by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
  • You will manage the welfare and motivation of direct reports and provide leadership, guidance and encouragement to achieve their KPI’s.

 

What we expect

  • You are a seasoned professional in the Workplace industry with experience in Project Management and business leadership roles and have a strong network with the industry.
  • You have a degree in Architecture or Engineering ( Civil or Mechanical) from an overseas university and post graduation in project management and relevant experience of at least 10 years in managing & delivering corporate interior projects including MEP scope.
  • At least 3 years experience working in the USA, UK, Europe or Australia.
  • You have a track record of achieving business goals in a sustained manner.
  • You are passionate about impacting ‘industry leading thinking’ in workplace design and execution and stay abreast of trends and competitive positioning and have the persistence and the perseverance to bring the best solutions for the customer.
  • This position requires detail orientation, a process driven approach, quick problem-solving skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • You have excellent communications skills and ability to build trust and collaborative relationships (both internally and externally).
  • You are comfortable with ambiguity, have high learning agility and problem solving skills.
  • Fluent in English and Cantonese and preferably Mandarin
