Job Description

Responsibilities:

Assist in the review of new styles with designers and product managers, analyzing information to help align cost targets to style details and related construction
Translating designs into full specification packages with accurate technical details, bill of materials
Ensures both the technical superiority and the product quality/integrity of all product falling under responsibilities
Proactively offering suggestions for improved construction, aesthetics and manufacturing enhancements
Assist the Product Development Manager to plan and track development schedule of all assigned products to ensure timely completion
Work with vendors and regional sourcing colleagues(ASO) to ensure the superior quality and timely delivery of sales samples each season
Ensure all key deadlines are upheld
Partners with Material Sourcing to select new fabrications and production processes that go hand in hand with developing innovative and technically superior products each season
Assist and work with regional VF colleagues to ensure all products meet required standards in all areas

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Design (Apparel), Engineering, Manufacturing or equivalent combination of education and experience
4 years experiences in Product Development and/or Technical Services in a medium or large sized apparel company
Must have a track record in assisting in the development of sportswear across all categories, implementing improvement procedures and working to meet set deadlines
Strong fabric and trims knowledge
Technical Knowledge of the product category assigned
Successful project management skill and knowledge of the product cycle and product development timeline
Knowledge and experience in using PDM system in specification and styling development
Knowledge and experience in using Adobe Illustrator and able to do sketches
Patterning knowledge (Preference)
Fluent in English or Mandarin & Average in Cantonese
Frequency of Travel: 50%
