Job Description
Our Client is a highly profitable Global E-Commerce Platform with a strong reputation in Asia. With the massive amount of Data and business expansion, they are starting a new Data Engineering team and we are looking for their first Data Engineer to join the company at this exciting time. The right candidate will be given the technical freedom to run the function and you will work with a team of exception developers who will always be supporting you.
You are expected to design the database and apply the latest Machine Learning and Big Data technologies to the existing architecture. We also have to ensure the reliability of the mission critical application in terms of the data extraction, and think about how we can scale up the database in a sustainable manner. As the first member of the team you will take full ownership of the projects, therefore able to deliver on time and independently is key to this role.
Requirements:
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science
2-5 years in Hadoop, Spark and other data technologies
Strong understanding of how Data can add value to the business
Strong track record in working with database with large amount of consumer data
Passionate in Opensource technologies
Tensorflow experience is a plus
Good communication skills in English and Cantonese
