Job Description

The Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) is a multi-disciplinary technology organization established by statute in 1967. HKPC’s mission is to promote productivity excellence through the provision of integrated support across the value chain of Hong Kong SAR firms, to achieve a more effective utilization of resources, to enhance the value-added content of products and services, and to increase international competitiveness.

To meet the challenges of a rapidly evolving business environment, we arelooking for a seasoned executive for the post of General Manager, Digital Transformation.

Job Duties:

  • Formulate, drive and execute the division’s strategies in line with the corporate mission and development in the areas of Smart Living and Digital Manufacturing
  • Lead the professional teams to provide market-driven consultancy services in Digital Technology, Cyber Security, Software Testing, Big Data, Blockchain, Information Technology, and Business/ Technology Automation
  • Develop and market digital technologies and digital services to facilitate business and industry development
  • Develop and leverage on the technical competencies to create new business opportunities pertinent to industry needs in both Hong Kong, Mainland and Asean countries
  • Develop and implement digital transformation roadmap and execution plan for HKPC
  • Manage MIS team to provide technical support in-house and for external consultancy
  • Establish and maintain strong network and develop appropriate platforms to strengthen the partnership between the HKPC, the academia, professional bodies, and the industries
  • Provide leadership, development opportunities and guidance to continuously build talent pipeline, upgrade the division’s overall capabilities and build sustainable business model to achieve financial performance
  • Safeguard all operational and financial processes within the divisions to comply with the latest corporate governance requirements

Job Requirements:

  • A university degree, preferably with a master’s degree, in information technology, computer science, computer engineering or equivalent disciplines
  • At least 20 years’ working experience, with 10 years’ solid management experience at senior positions in sizable organization or MNC
  • Strong IT-related and consultancy experience
  • Experience in manufacturing sector is a plus
  • Experience in technology development or digital product / digital service development is a plus
  • Proven track records in Digital Transformation, Information Technology, Cyber Security, Software Testing, Big Data, Blockchain, Digital Technology consultancy services, etc
  • Sound relationship with the industry, trade associations, professional bodies and research institutes in Hong Kong, Mainland and overseas
  • Excellent business acumen
  • Self-motivation, strong leadership competencies and with foresight in IT and digital development
  • Good planning, organizing, controlling and financial management skills and ability to account for the effectiveness of a cross-professional team and corporate governance
  • Strong interpersonal skills and can work harmoniously with both internal and external parties
  • Strong communication skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua, as well as general computer literacy

The successful candidate will be employed on a fixed-term contract basis, which is renewable subject to appointee’s performance and the Council’s development needs.
