The Data center Project Manager is responsible for projects plan out and equipment life cycle management of data center's equipment’s

This will include; hardware BOM/SOP, Raise Change Management, Vendor engagement, inventory management, decommission & disposal of hardware.

The ideal candidate will be someone with +5 years experiences in Data center environment including, Server & Racks installing procedure, infrastructure / resiliency design. CDCP & PMP will be advantage.

Responsibilities:

• Gather hardware requirements BOM (model, delivery dates etc.) and build up rack matrix / elevations based on the requirement
• Centralize all installation requests and raising Change Management request.
• Physical racking and stacking of IT equipment (e.g. power connections, patching, iLO configuration)
• Update equipment inventory management system and rack elevations.
• Coordinate and liaise with Telco / Network vendor on circuit and cabling installation.
• Prepare defect lists for contractors and Service providers and raise change management request to centralize all decommission request
• Provide weekly reporting on project construction status to regional data center project team.
• Data Centre Power-down management: coordination with different vendors and all IT sil
• Equipment Disposal : obtain all hardware equipment to be decommissioned and work with related department for approval

Requirements:

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Typically requires 4-6 years datacenter relevant experiences, including:
• Good understanding of server installation procedure
• Good understanding of data center infrastructure and its resiliency design (UPS, Generator, CRAC, cabling, containment routes, etc).
• Certified CDCP is a plus , but not a must
• Certified PMP is a plus , but not a must
• Experiences / Knowledge in Hardware
• HP ProLiant DL and ML (standalone server), SL and BL (Blade)
• Dell Rack servers
• IBM BladeCenter E Chassis, x86 Blade, Tape Library
• Cisco 65xx, 37xx, 45xx
• Avaya PBX
• Brocade SAN director and/or switches
• Cable (UTP/fiber) patching and testing technique

• Strong communication skills with high-level of English fluency (both oral and writing) and Chinese (Cantonese / Mandarin)
