Our client is one of the leading consumer electronics manufacturers with a global presence. To enhance their global competitiveness and deliver high-quality products, they are seeking for an experienced Big Data Architect, with passion on new technologies and innovations, to join their Research and Development team.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Program Director, you will lead the team to provide guidance on suitable data architecture and data engineering options. You will also direct the design, implementation and optimization of data pipelines for analytical solutions developed in the company big data applications. Through collaboration with other team leaders, you will work towards data integration and standardization by developing and managing enhancement algorithms (i.e. machine learning and deep learning) and metadata management tools. You will develop a consolidation roadmap for data integration, cleansing, architecture and integration for the analytic platform.

Requirements:

Master degree or above in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or other relevant disciplines, you will have at least 7 years of experiences in Enterprise, specifically in analytics and data engineering, from which 5 years in data architecture and engineering. You will be required to have experience on major big data solutions, included but not limited to Hadoop, Hive, Spark, HBase and Sqoop. You will demonstrate the ability to present and communicate the value of data to upper management and/or cross-functional teams. Experienced with smart manufactory/ industry 4.0 and worked at international companies (i.e. IBM, GE, Amazon, Salesforce, etc.) will be an asset. Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese will be required.
