The jobholder will be responsible for the IT operations and technical support.  Major job duties will include:

• Responsible for defining infrastructure components of web application systems, producing an infrastructure design for the system and resolving any problems arising during infrastructure design or implementation
• Maintain good performance on server and database infrastructure and high system availability at all times
• Develop infrastructure roadmap, long-term strategies, capacity planning and recommendations on infrastructure investments to meet future system requirement and business needs
• Work closely with application team on system testing, configuration and migration of new server, etc.
• Study, plan and manage the system upgrade and integration projects;
• Act as project leader to manage project plan, timeline and communication across project stakeholders.
• Prepare project documentations including Requirement Specification, Design Specifications, UAT Plans and Reports etc.
• Handle hardware and software upgrade, replacement and purchasing, etc.
• Manage a technical support team to provide technical and helpdesk support for our call centers and service centers, including system setup, backup, trouble-shooting and administration of large-scale infrastructure of servers and network, etc.
• Perform audit on IT security & support process and asset management.
• On-call for emergency production incidents and perform shift duties as required

 The Person:

• Degree holder in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related disciplines;
• Minimum 6 years relevant experience in system design and administration of large scale Web server and database infrastructure;
• Good knowledge of multi-tiered application environments (Web, Application and Database connectivity) and high availability system
• Solid experiences on Cisco routers/switches; with hands on experiences on firewalls VPN, proxy, load balancers and monitoring tools
• Good knowledge of routing and switching technologies and protocols
• Solid experiences in OS (MS Windows Server Administration and Linux); Web server(s) (Apache, IIS); Database server (MySQL) maintenance, administration and performance tuning
• Hands-on experiences in network design and security, IT operations security, intrusion management including firewall, intrusion detection software, anti-virus software, security appliances and host security, and network support
• Solid experience in managing vendors on IT operations, change management, incident management, problem management, etc.
• Knowledge of VMware vSphere virtual platform, database replication application (serveralnines) and multi-country resources is an advantage
• Knowledge in managing MetaTrader system is an advantage;
• Mature, multi-tasking, and able to work independently and under pressure
• Good leadership and people management skills
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua
• Candidate with less experience may be considered as Infrastructure Specialist
