Job Description
Leading luxury retail brand with strong presences across 5 continents is on a significant IT transformation programme across the whole APAC. High caliber IT PMs are pursued to join this regional team to ensure the smooth delivery of both application upgrade and infrastructure refreshment.
Responsibilities:
- Project manage multi-million dollars retail stores related projects for APAC region.
- Manage and collaborate with different parties and business users throughout the whole project implementation period on project planning, timeline, contract review, procurement, budget tracking, resourcing, implementation, post-implementation support, mitigation of project risks and governance.
- Ensure effective communication with regional retail stores and business stakeholders in order to understand their needs and opportunities, as well as keeping them updated on project status, issues, risks and threats.
- Produce dashboard or related performance metrics to track project process and deliverables.
- Study & understand market trends to contribute towards innovative IT solutions & offerings.
- Liaise with external vendors, where appropriate, to prioritize & execute projects related to new & existing applications.
- IT hardware in-scope but not limited to POS, laptops, Apple devices, routers, switches, wireless access points.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years IT experience
- Full project life-cycle management experience
- Experience in multi-country rollout
- Managing support through 3rd party arrangements
- Hands-on in store technology experience (PC’s, LAN, Servers, Network)
- Operating with organisations spread over many countries
- Relevant Project Management methodology qualification
- Project status tracking tools, templates and documentation
- Process Improvement/Re-engineering experience
- Proficiency in English writing, speaking and presentation skills
- IT hardware procurement experience
The role would start with a one year contract term. The project would take for a while, so it's a long term engagement.
