Job Description

 

The Business Matching Consultant will assist the Business Matching Manager, HAF and Manager, HAF to set up and launch the 17th Hong Kong - Asia Film Financing Forum (HAF) Online Appointment Booking System and to coordinate with the industry players to line up meetings with filmmakers. The candidate will report to the Business Matching Manager, HAF and Manager, HAF of the project and also involves in the HAF hospitality arrangement of filmmakers and guests. 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Promote, market, set up and coordinate business meetings for HAF filmmakers and guests;
  • Research and solicit potential investors, buyers, funders and partners;
  • Liaise with HAF filmmakers, guests, and investors intensively on their meeting schedules;
  • Provide recommendations and professional advice to HAF filmmakers and guests on meeting arrangement;
  • Encourage HAF guests to make appointments in advance via the online appointment system;
  • Conduct a usable scheduling database and the distribution of accurate meeting itinerary to guests;
  • Handle enquiries on the booking and scheduling of meetings;
  • Provide on-site assistance to HAF filmmakers and guests;
  • Co-ordinate with the Society's various working teams and various external parties;
  • Assist in setting up the Hospitality / HAF offices in assigned hotels;
  • Assist in HAF events such as luncheons, receptions, press conference, seminars, award presentation and exhibitions etc;
  • Prepare various reports and analyses to the Management, the Board and the Government; and
  • Perform any other tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor and/ or Management from time to time. 

 

Requirements:

 

  • University graduate or equivalent;
  • At least 3 years’ experience on guests handling and management;
  • Proactive and with excellent coordination skills;
  • Good knowledge of the international film industry and good acquaintance with film industry professionals;
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in organizing large-scale events;
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese including Putonghua, knowledge of other languages will be an advantage;
  • Proficient in PC skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); and
  • Required to work overtime and irregular hours including full-day work on weekends and public holidays during certain periods.

The above position is offered on temporary contract terms only.
