Job Description
We are currently looking for a high caliber to join our Risk & Compliance team as “Assistant Quality Assurance Manager ".
In this role, you will:
- Lead and monitor food safety maintenance programs, improvement projects and follow-up to corrective action plan
- Consult with management to develop organizational goals and measurements
- Develop, implement and conduct safety training programs in conjunction with the training department for unit staff and managers with special focus on Production
- Play a key role in developing a comprehensive food safety program for the units
- Implement the HACCP program, maintains current CCPs and SOPs
- Champion the total food safety improvement efforts and initiate problem-solving, as well as implementation programs
- Coordinate actions to prevent the occurrences of nonconformities. Review changes to local regulation and Gate Gourmet’s food safety policies to ensure that the unit complies to updated standards
- Maintain customer compliance resolution includes leading investigation of food safety complaints. Monitor food safety performance (KPI) and identify trends and opportunities for improvement
- Support regulatory agency inspections or audits, customer audits and government audits to meet Gate Gourmet and local compliance. Maintain all records pertaining to regulation and requirements regarding these inspections
- Lead compliance to Gate Gourmet microbiological sampling program
- Manage and control 3rdparty vendors, contracted for auditing and Food Safety support functions
- Develop leadership skills and professional abilities of subordinates. Perform periodic performance reviews
- Manage the Company’s Business Continuity Management plan
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Degree or above in Food Science or microbiology or Catering or other related discipline
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Food safety control practices (GMP's, SOP's, and HACCP) and quality program control
- Knowledge of quality auditing and inspection methods are required
- Knowledge of basic statistical calculation, and/or mathematical comprehension are advantage
- Knowledge of HACCP, ISO 22000, SOP’s, SSOP’s and GMP’s; as well as HACCP or Seafood HACCP certified and ServeSafe trained are preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications
- Detail oriented, strong organizational and interpersonal skills for interacting with multiple departments are required
- Able to work with little supervision with excellent time management and analytical skills
- Multi-lingual a plus
