Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Range Build
- Curate a Range that is:
o High Quality
o Affordable Luxury
o In keeping with the look & feel of Indigo Living
o Profitable – working to the business targets of GP$/ GP%/ Stock Cover
o Across all Indigo Living Territories (Currently but not limited to HK, China & Middle East)
- Keep up to date and share information on Home Trends
- Comp Shop both local and international competitors
- Presenting the Range Built to the Management team
- Work to the Buying Critical Path & Seasonal Launches
- Achieve the targets set out by the company
- Work with the Online team to drive the look and feel of the Website, ensure correct content and all products are loaded
- Weekly and Monthly reports for your area
- Assist the Head of department as required in any capacity related to the Buying team
Product Development
- New Product Presentations to Mangers for Sign off – in line with the Buying Critical Path
- Present the New range to the Retail Teams before each launch at the Indigo Product Training Events
Supplier Management
- Maintenance and development of grower/supplier relationships
- Negotiate best price, MOQ and Lead Time
- Annually / Bi annually Supplier Appraisals
- Regular supplier meeting & visits
- Source new suppliers
- Work with supplier to offer Indigo Exclusives & Indigo Promotions backed by the Supplier
Inventory Control
- Work with the Merchandisers to achieve on time Product Launches – 4 seasonal launches a year – 2 Main Spring & Fall, 2 Capsule Range – Summer &, Winter
Requirements:
- Have a Background & Passion for Home Décor & Furniture
- Be able to effectively work in a busy, noisy and high pressured, open plan office environment
- The ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people at varying levels both internally and externally including suppliers and customers
- Ability to form strong supplier / customer relations
- Be sufficiently numerate and a clear logical thinker with good analytical skills
- Have good time management, planning and organisational skills
- Be able to work to tight deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Be able to work as part of a team as well as independently when required
- Possess competent PC skills (Word, Excel and Outlook)
Easy transportation to and from Cyberport office includes Cyberport shuttle bus, 15 minutes green minibus from Cyberport to Kennedy Town MTR, green minibus and buses to different locations in Hong Kong and Kowloon.
