Job Description

Job objective:

You will be working with a marketing team to plan and execute visitor marketing activities for Global Sources trade fairs in Hong Kong, in order to achieve visitor quality/quantity objectives of each trade fairs

Your primary role is to build and maintain relationships with VIP and loyal buyers, trade associations and key interest groups like online sellers to keep them engaged and regularly attending the fairs 

 

Main Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Manage relations with existing VIP & loyal buyers, trade associations and online sellers through the delivery of top notch communications and customer service pre/at/post show, with the goal to maintain a high retention & satisfaction rate for these audience groups 
  • Identify and contact potential new buyers from these groups to invite to the fairs to reach assigned targets. Organize attendee delegations from big buying companies and industry associations, and provide the needed support to encourage and facilitate their attendance  
  • Plan and execute exciting and cost-effective incentive programs and services exclusively available to these buyers to reward them for their loyalty, and elevate their status over regular buyers 
  • Manage the VIP Buyers Office Suites during the shows 
  • Get constant feedback from these buyers about our fairs, their sourcing requirements and tradeshow needs. Relay the feedback to management and devise ways to address them 
  • Supervise a small team (permanent staff and temporary staff, as needed during peak recruiting months and during the shows) to deliver the above  
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the supervisors

 

Job Requirement: 

You are a cooperative team player with excellent oral and written communication skills (English & Cantonese required, Mandarin a plus) and a strong customer relations or servicing background

You are a university degree holder preferably in Marketing, Mass Communication, Business Administration or related field. You have at least 3 years of hand-on marketing and customer service experience. 

You are friendly, with good social and presentation skills, works well with others and a problem-solver. You are creative and self-motivated, with strong attention to detail, disciplined and able to work under pressure.
