Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Report to SVP Asia, and manages one direct report
  • Forecast and achieve annual sales targets
  • Strategically negotiate deal terms and conditions which maximize return and profitability to Business Plan
  • Oversee the end to end sales process for Greater China with the assistance of Sales & Contracts Support
  • Maintain existing and develop new relationships with key clients
  • Identify new business opportunities including new media, traditional media, co-productions/co-investments, formats, presales, and sponsorship.
  • As the territory expert you will actively identify & report on market trends
  • Manage the annual budget and forecasting for Greater China platforms
  • Take regular local sales trips and attend international markets as identified by Manager
  • Prepare for and participate in regular sales tracking meetings
  • Contribute to managing the objectives, performance and coaching of Cluster Sales Coordinators
  • Manage all local languages and dubbed masters included royalties, payaways access and licensing

Requirements:

  • Highly competent written and verbal English, Mandarin and one more other Asian (beneficial) language skills
  • Strong understanding of TV Production, Television, New Media and Home Entertainment rights and trends essential.
  • Ability to work transparently & communicate key information to the cluster
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Ability to take direction and work with the SVP to deliver the agreed sales strategy
  • Team player with the desire to drive the business forward individually and under direction
  • 5-10 years of experience in a Sales role within an international TV sales team is preferred. A candidate with extensive sales experience will be considered for a Sales Director role.
  • First hand knowledge of the Greater China channels/ broadcast and production market
  • Highly motivated, hardworking, self starter
  • Strong negotiation skills and attention to details
  • Able to prioritise workload in order to maximize outcomes and meet deadlines
  • Ability think outside the box and be creative in ways to bring business.
