Job Description

The Senior Art Director will join Red Fuse Communications, WPP’s full-service integrated global award-winning agency.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Senior Art Director who excels in creativity across all advertising platforms.  

 

Major Responsibilities & Duties

 

  • Ability to concept and design across all IMC platforms: video, mobile, social, eComm, TVC, print. Developing ideas that are relevant, on-strategy and thought provoking.
  • Able to translate strategic direction (as outlined in a Creative Brief) into powerful advertising communications.
  • Able to contribute concepts to team brainstorming.
  • Red flag any strategy weakness discovered during creative development process
  • Work as a team with Copywriters, Stategy, Account Management and Production; make clear and exciting presentations to account team and, when appropriate, to clients.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring for junior staff.
  • Support/facilitate the mandatory adherence to requirements, processes and procedures.
  • Recommend measures to improve work process methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Able to understand branding guidelines of a particular brand and become the “go-to” person when there are questions on branding for that product
  • Supports/facilitates the mandatory adherence to Agency requirements, processes and procedures.
  • Complete other projects for other regions as assigned.
  • Fiscally responsible by remaining aware of the scope/budget associated with each project.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize workload and exercise time management skills.
  • Participate in the Agency’s Goal setting Process and offers 360 feedback upon request for work colleagues and/or management.
  • Networks to bring new talent to agency.

  

Position Requirements

 Must demonstrate a proven track record of outstanding Client service and relationship building. Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills that demonstrate influence and diplomacy; strategic thinking and advertising/promotional acumen.

 

  • Degree qualified. A minimum of 5 years of design/art direction in advertising agency or marketing company. Preference for CPG and pharma creative experience where applicable. 
  • Strong conceptual abilities, remarkable art direction skills and a solid knowledge of the digital landscape. 
  • MAC literacy. 
  •  Current on changes in social media and communications technology. 
  • Experience expanding portfolio of business and developing client relationships. 
  • Demonstrated mastery of the latest Adobe Creative Suite. 
  • Should be familiar with CSS, HTML and web typography and have experience designing with fluid grids that work responsively for mobile, tablet and desktop. 
  • Polished client presentation skills demonstrating a clear vision of how the work addresses the client challenge. 
  • Talent to inspire clients and team members with great visual design. 
  • Ability to cope with pressure (multiply assignments at times) and meet deadlines.
  • Able to work independently in terms of Art Direction, in the absence of the Creative Director
  • Fluent verbal and written English essential; other Asian languages desirable.
