Head-quartered in Hong Kong, our client is a design-driven home furnishing retailer with business across Asia. They are now inviting a dynamic buyer to join their team in Hong Kong.

Reporting to the Function Head, you will be responsible for assortment building, Open-To-Buy management and inventory allocation of home furnishing items across Asia market. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will project sales, calculate profit margin and control inventory level of assigned categories for each season buy. You will suggest markdowns and formulate phrase-in/ phrase-out strategies to achieve financial goals. You will also identify opportunities to maximize profitability and optimize inventory turn.

Successful candidate will possess the following competencies and attributes:

• University degree in Business Management or any other related disciplines
• At least 8 years of buying/ merchandise planning experience within retail industry, preferably from home furnishing/ home accessories/ lifestyle, cosmetics or fashion brands
• Hands-on experience on OTB budgeting and highly proficient in Excel
• Numeric-sensitive, analytical with ability in compiling figures into business plan
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Fluent in English is essential, Mandarin will be an advantage
