Job Description

This company is a MNC retailer which provides a wide range of paper objects, bags, books, travel and digital device accessories and writing tools. They connect the product users to a heritage in art, literature and cultural and geographical exploration.

Right now they are looking for a Senior Merchandiser for APAC, you will support the retail and wholesale business with forecast, assortment refinement as well as sales data analysis and recommendations. This position works closely with sales and forecast/logistics team and reports to the Consumer Sales Director.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Retail

newness selection and forecast, rolling forecast for on-going items
assortment review and sku optimization
identify opportunities for in-season sales strategies, end of season/phase out inventory management
sales data analysis and provide recommendation to retail team
Support Product Marketing in reviewing pricing strategy
liaise with logistics team for auditing and reconciliation

Wholesale

Monthly upload of sell-in and sell-out report, provide sales analysis to sales team and distributors
Review sales data and inventory level, provide recommended order to key distributors

Sales data platform

Asia contact point for sales data analysis platform
Reconciliation and feedback to HQ for improvement on functionality and accuracy.

REQUIREMENTS

University graduate in Finance, Business Administration or related disciplines
3-5 years of experience in merchandising role from beauty/fashion/accessories/consumer electronics
Experience in direct retail as well as wholesale business
Numerical and analytical with strong Excel skill
Good interpersonal and communication skill
Good command of English language and Cantonese is mandatory, knowledge of Mandarin or any other Asian language is a plus
Ability to work in fast-paced environment
Proficiency with computer skills in MS Windows, Office, Outlook, ERP or SAP
Occasional travel is required
Short notice period or immediate available definitely an advantage
