To assist the Procurement Manager to lead the Procurement Department in all areas of procurement functions and to ensure delivery of organizational policy through the application of best practice.

Job Description:

• Assist to prepare tender, contract and ordering documentation;
• Evaluate bids on the basis of financial and non-financial criteria and report on the results;
• Provide baseline information and analysis to the management;
• Assist to undertake periodic reviews of effectiveness of the contracts and contract management;
• Assist to monitor procurement activities to ensure compliance with the company’s internal procurement policies and procedures;
• Develop sourcing strategies with due reference to the emerging best practice.

Essential Knowledge & Skills:

• Good knowledge and understanding of procurement procedures;
• Experience in the preparation and management of procurements and contracts;
• Good presentation, interpersonal and communication skill;
• Ability to work independently, proactively and positively in a team environment;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Chinese word processing.

Job Specification:

• A diploma in purchasing & supply management or business studies;
• A bachelor degree in supply chain management or logistics studies an added advantage;
• 4-6 years’ experience in procurement functions with at least 3 recent years at a supervisory level;
• Candidate with less experience will also be considered as Assistant Purchasing Officer.
