For a leading publicly-listed engineering consortium, we are urgently seeking a procurement head to identify, select, and oversee vendors of renewable equipment and materials supplies (wind turbines, Solar/PV equipment, construction materials). 

This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone with experience in the EPC, Energy or Utilities industries to step into a diverse role where he/she will get the chance to set up a new purchasing department wholly dedicated to green/renewable energy developments. 

The role:

Reporting directly to the executive board, the newly created position of APAC purchasing head will coordinate with counterparts in the US, Middle East, and Europe to

• Provide service & equipment procurement advice to support major projects and overall development of the group across the Asia-Pacific region;

• Make decisions on vendor registration and performance evaluation;

• Maintain relationships with strategic vendors;

• Develop and implement a suitable system of Expressions of Interest, Requests for Proposals and Invitation to Tender to select Consultants / Contractors, and

• Oversee the evaluation, negotiation and award of contracts.

Your Profile

Ideal candidates should posess

• A passion for engineering and the future of renewables
• 5-10 years experience in making procurement decisions for medium-large engineering, public utility, or modular construction companies
• High education/Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related disciplines. 
• Experience in proposal review and tender management related to equipment purchases ranging from 5 to 500 million+ USD.
