Job Description

The Operations Manager will be responsible for all matters related to ticketing, technical logistics, screening and venue coordination for the film programmes organised by the Society; matters related to membership logistics, and website and mobile app development and maintenance.

 

Responsibilities:

  • To be responsible for all ticketing matters including co-ordination between ticketing service providers and screening venues, ticketing system set up, allocation of tickets, ticket refund arrangement, priority booking, preparation of film scheduling and sales reports etc.;
  • To be responsible for co-ordinating and monitoring all technical logistics and screening matters including booking of screening venues, liaison with screening venues, arrangement of film censorship, film checking, film subtitles projection, and film insurance etc.;
  • To work with programming team and assist in the film scheduling; and co-ordinate with the film traffic team on film delivery to venues;
  • To supervise membership logistics including members’ registration, production and distribution of membership cards, and maintenance of members’ database; 
  • To coordinate with website and mobile app development service providers for contents updating;
  • To liaise with technical equipment sponsors;
  • To monitor the delivery of programme and booking folders;
  • To be responsible for the set up and management of the festival temporary office during the annual Hong Kong International Film Festival;
  • To handle customers’ enquiries;
  • To prepare tender documents, co-ordinate tender briefing/presentation sessions, and prepare tender reports;
  • To conduct research, prepare usable and accurate reports and analyses to management from time to time; and
  • To perform any other tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor and / or management from time to time. 

Requirements:

  • University graduate or equivalent
  • Ability to work independently, proactively and a good team player
  • Attention to details, good communication and organizational skills
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
  • At least 5 years' relevant experience in supervisory level
  • Proficiency of PC skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Require to work overtime and at irregular hours including full-day work on weekends and public holidays during peak seasons
