Job Purpose

To initiate “Beyond Desire” creative ideas and execution of the VM department and activities for Pedder Group.

• Assist the Director with the planning, implementation and consistency of VM directives across all regions.
• Execute and implement creative concept for all VM activities
• Ensure efficiency and expedite all production work required for all VM activities
• Liaise with contractors, designers, printers and suppliers on technical production work
• Plan weekly/monthly/seasonal schedules and supervise the team to meet deadlines and ensure high standard of execution
• Ensure quality of creative work is of international standard
• Organize and art direct photo sessions
• Plan and control the budgets ensuring projects are within agreed expenditure
• Participate in the development of creative concepts that will position Pedder Group as the bench mark of VM excellence.
• Communicate on a regular basis with the Director on all visual actions and requests from store operations
• Plan and communicate a productive weekly schedule for VM team members
• Control the workshop, scheduling of temporary staff and driver deliveries
• Assist with visual support on all store and office events and promotions as required
• Communicate regularly with the Director / Supervisor on all visual projects proactively highlighting any issues and concerns
• Use customer and staff feedback to develop strategic VM activities and identify new needs and services with the customer in mind
• Communicate regularly with the production team on all visual projects proactively highlighting any issues and concerns
• Demonstrate and reinforce the Pedder Group Vision and Values at all times and provide necessary leadership to gain commitment from all team members
• Train and coach store and the more junior VM team in all aspects of remerchandising, mannequins styling and floor presentation to ensure the highest standards are consistently delivered
• To be aware of the weekly schedule and supervise more junior team members to meet the required deadlines
• Give feedback during regular meetings and solicit ideas for improvement
  

Requirements:

• Degree holder with minimum 5 years of visual merchandising or stage production experience
• High level of creativity, detailed-oriented with good communication and presentation skills
• Proficiency in graphic design softwares on both Mac and PC platform such as Photoshop, Rhinoceros, Maya, Illustrator and Freehand would be advantageous
