Job Responsibilities:

The incumbent will report directly to Head of Index Development of CESC. His/Her duties will include:

• Design and develop data model for index compilation and back-testing

• Collect and transform multiple data sets to designed data model

• Design and develop data manipulation process based on requirements

• Draft and perform function requirements and user acceptance test for the development of new index system

• Extract and analyze large data sets from multiple databases to support decision-making

• Support and maintain data warehouse to ensure data integrity

• Prepare test cases and conduct testing to validate accuracy of manipulation process

• Prepare documentation and specifications according to standards

Requirements:

• University Degree or Higher Diploma in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related disciplines

• Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience in data analysis plus ETL/BI development

• Solid data modelling experience and other data manipulation technology experience in financial industry

• Experience with SAS, VBA, SQL, ETL process and Java programming will be an advantage

• Experience with database systems such as Oracle and MySQL will be an advantage

• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese
