The Assistant Director will help manage relationships in Hong Kong with program partners from higher education, social enterprise, NGO, and business communities.  This position also requires constructive collaboration with various internal constituencies, including faculty, Advancement (Development and Alumni Relations), the University of Chicago Global Initiatives office, and other teams across geographic territories.

Despite being located in Hong Kong, the Assistant Director will need to be an active and engaged member of the Rustandy staff, working to ensure strong coordination between the largely Chicago based team. Coordination is typically facilitated through bi-weekly phone calls and daily email communication. Because of the time difference, this will often result in irregular business hours, so a successful candidate will need to be flexible. It will also require some travel between Hong Kong and Chicago, as well as possible travel into China to the University’s Beijing Center and other locations as needed.
