Hong Kong Life Sciences Society aims to nurture a vibrant community where life sciences students, researchers and entrepreneurs are well-connected with different opportunities.

Working closely with the Executive Director, the appointee is responsible for developing, launching and growing a range of learning, engagement and networking activities. 

Responsibilities:

• Supporting the launch of talks, networking events and internship programs
• Coordinating the delivery of the above-mentioned projects and developing a membership scheme
• Working closely with different organizations and key stakeholders to enable inter-disciplinary collaborations
• Developing new projects to ensure that young people have the opportunity to enjoy life sciences and see its connectedness to their daily life experiences
• Undertaking administrative responsibilities in managing budgets and priorities

Requirements:

• University degree holder preferably in life / health sciences, public administration or social sciences
• At least 5 years of working experience in event management, public engagement or science education 
• Strong co-ordinating skills, to lead projects through every stage from ideas to completion, and to manage resources effectively
• Strong command of written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua 
• Prior working experience with companies, organizations or universities in Mainland China is a definite advantage though not mandatory 
• Candidate with less experience will be considered for the position of Assistant Manager
