Responsibilities:

• Define actions and strategies with sales organization and countries to reach agreed sales/yield targets and carrier commitments
• Ensure targeted growth is achieved by strategically coordinating the sales and procurement elements on important trade lanes
• Optimize company’s global cost of sales for ocean freight FCL on a door to door basis
• Develop and execute a globally binding procurement strategy with clear split of responsibilities for procurement activities between Corporate, Countries and business units
• Negotiate and contract carriers in line with product and carrier strategy
• Ensure effective supplier relationship and regular performance management of carriers

Requirements:

• Degree holder in Business Administration / Economics / Logistics / Supply Chain or related disciplines
• Minimum 10 years of relevant overall industry experience, preferably from a multinational working environment
• With strong knowledge of the ocean freight industry, including procurement and capacity management knowledge for ocean freight
• High proficiency in written and spoken English
• With an international mindset and exhibits great cross-cultural sensitivity
• Knowledge of SAP and FCL tariff systems are pre-requisites
• Good know-how of MS Office including Word, Excel and Powerpoint
• Able to work under pressure and deal with tight deadlines with high energy and resilience
• Analytical, result-driven, with strong interpersonal skills
