Duties:

• Responsible for arranging and processing daily purchase orders and follow up to expedite on-time deliveries.
• Maintains and updates accurately and timely all the purchasing and transaction records in the Department’s computer ordering system
• Assists and/or undertake the preparation of documents, e.g. purchase orders, tenders & presentation material, etc.
• Works closely with other departments and external suppliers to coordinate and expedite shipment schedules to ensure timely availability of needed materials
• Implements and observes full compliance with our material control procedures in all undertakings
• Will need to take up local traveling, if instructed, to support sourcing and procurement matters
• Performs other related duties as assigned by his/her direct Departmental Management

Requirements:

• Secondary School graduate or above
• 2-3 years relevant experience in Purchasing is an advantage
• Hospital experience is preferable
• Knowledge on Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Chinese Word Processing etc.
• Knowledge and experience in computerized ordering system is also a plus.
• Meticulous and good numerical aptitude
• Proficient in written & spoken English
• Training in hospital ordering software applications, procurement-related courses and programs not required but highly desirable
