Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
 
Contract Compliance supports the Continent in operating within a framework and utilizing tools that provide the Continent the assurance to be in compliance with the financial provisions of contractual arrangements.  The position partners with internal departments to establish and sustain a global governance framework (policies, processes, and procedures) to ensure financial contract compliance is executed by accountable parties.  The position will report to, and work under the supervision of senior manager within the Finance Compliance Department. The analyst holding this position will work collaboratively with internal business customers and third parties, as needed. 
 
CANDIDATE PROFILE
 
Experience
·         Minimum, three (3) years of combined experience in contract management, audit, finance and/or accounting, process analysis and improvements design and implementation, required.

Education and Certification
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • CPA is preferred.
 
Knowledge and Skills
  • Knowledge of internal control concepts and practical applications as it relates to contract compliance administration.
  • Ability to read and interpret terms included in contract agreements.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, including Senior Management.
  • Ability to conduct and report financial analysis, including identifying areas of financial risk.
  • Ability to work effectively both individually and as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple, concurrent tasks, meet deadlines and perform effectively under pressure.
  • High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese (Cantonese/Mandarin) are required, other Asian language skills is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint and Excel (e.g. vlookup, pivot table, formulas, etc.)

  • Supports, manages, and initiates change within the organization, taking steps to remove barriers or to accelerate its pace.
  • Willing to travel domestically and internationally, 5 to 10% annually.
  • Based in Hong Kong.
 CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
  • Maintains and monitors the master contract database of agreements that includes all key attributes including basic terms and conditions. Creates processes and programs that make contract information readily available to management including a reporting system that notifies management of critical dates and obligations for contracts. Prepares schedule of contract-ending dates and notify field management of contracts with expiration dates within critical range.
  • Communicates critical contract information to Finance, Legal, and Operations teams.  Keeps teams informed of all new agreements and changes to existing agreements.
  • Establishes, implements, and maintains business processes to collect current and future agreements into a centralized location and repository (including agreements with group and individual customers).
  • Reviews billing to customers according to contract agreements and analyzes billing disputes and address customers’ request timely.  Processes Accounts Receivable write-offs and adjustments from billing disputes, if necessary.
  • Distributes monthly and quarterly reporting to help business partners proactively manage compliance issues with customers.
  • Works closely with external consultants and other internal departments to develop, implement and maintain systems and procedures.
  • Provide training sessions to customers when required.
  • Perform ad hoc tasks as assigned.
