Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic and engaged individual to join the global HR business partner team within the HR Division. You will support the commercial organization of Asia Pacific based in one of our biggest Asian offices: Hong Kong, Singapore or Kualalumpur.

 

Responsibilities

The HR partner advises business teams in all HR related matters and process. An effective HR partner creates a true partnership with his/her assigned teams. He /she helps the business to co-craft the mid and long term business team strategy and organization.

As a Senior HRBP you will support all levels of the organization, working very closely with the chief executive of the organization and the management teams.

You will:

Act as a strategic positioner

You implement the human capital strategy to support the divisional business strategy made to response to business conditions and external customer expectations.

 

Act as a trusted advisor

You build a work environment where high performance is valued, rewarded and recognized. You actively use strategic insight, facts & figures and own behavior to influence team leaders, line managers and employees in a positive manner. You challenge others and make recommendations that turn out to be valuable.

 

Act as a capability builder

You define capacity and capability needed to support SWIFT strategy 2020 and ease onboarding of new comers and newly appointed managers.

As the "driver of talent" in your division, you take an active part in the recruitment process (from business need definition to selection) and talent development at individual and business team level.

 

Support a High Performing organization

You support the business and equip them for value added conversations and to get the most out of the performance management process. You support managers in difficult conversations, play an active role in improving the feedback culture. You ensure Management identifies development needs and grooms talented people.

 

Act as a change agent

You advocate and implement the integrated HR practices to sustain and encourage the required culture.

You implement and support change initiatives on behavior, tools & processes and culture.

When appropriate, you will create specific solutions at business team level, including support and steer change dynamics, dealing with resistance and helping set direction.

 

Be an HR innovator

As a HR BP you deeply understand the interdependencies of the different HR roles: Business partners, COEs and HR Core activities. As HR Single point of contract towards the staff, you guide employees and managers to HRIS self-service and HR Services. Activities include driving the HR processes while using the HR tools, provide feedback on effectiveness of HR tools, and help shape best practices in HR.

 

Act as ONE HR

When supporting business, harmonizing processes for similar activities around the globe and catering for the different geographical realities and business strategies when appropriate.

When handling people matters by ensuring adequate resolution within the status of the law.

 

Qualifications

Requirements

  • At least 5 to 7 years' experience as HR Business Partner in a multi-country/cultural organization. Experience in Asia is an asset.
  • Experience of the financial and/or technology sector preferred
  • University degree
  • Must be fluent in English. Mastering one Asian language is an asset

Knowledge and expertise

 

  • Knowledgeable about HR practices: recruitment, talent development, performance coaching, facilitation, legislation, labor relations, organizational design
  • Experience in initiating, steering, coaching and sustaining change
