Job Description

The Job

  • To plan and execute research projects in support of the policy development of the MPFA;
  • To gather and analyze data/information and draft research reports;
  • To keep track of the latest global trends and developments of privately managed provident fund schemes;
  • To liaise with internal and external parties on research projects/issues and monitor research projects undertaken by external consultants; and
  • To lead a small research team.

The Person

  • A recognized bachelor degree in any discipline;
  • At least eight years of relevant experience in research-related fields, preferably from public or sizable organizations, universities or research institutes;
  • Excellent writing skills with proven competence in conducting research projects and preparing research reports independently;
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
  • Good analytical, problem solving, interpersonal, communication, leadership and people management skills; and
  • Sensitive to social and economic issues, mature, independent, flexible, and able to work under pressure.

Candidates with less experience may be considered for appointment as Assistant Manager.

Remuneration Package

A competitive remuneration and benefits package including a discretionary performance-linked variable pay, annual leave, medical, dental and life insurance coverage, and MPF will be offered. All new appointments will be made on a two-year fixed-term contract initially prior to consideration for appointment on a non-fixed-term basis.
