Job Description

With SWIFT gpi – the new standard in global payments – banks are now sending and receiving funds quickly and securely to anyone, anywhere in the world, with full transparency over where a payment is at any given moment. SWIFT gpi dramatically improves cross-border payments across the correspondent banking network, and not least for corporates for whom speed, certainty and a smooth international payments experience an absolute must.

Banks, corporates and market infrastructures around the world are leading the way in making gpi the new norm, and the APAC Professional Services team is now seeking a dynamic and mature candidate eager to shape and execute the next wave of gpi-enabled and other business advisory services for our customers in the region.

Responsibilities

Advisory Services Consulting

Engage customers and other stakeholders to translate their advisory objectives into functional requirements, which can then be fulfilled with relevant SWIFT software and services
Provide advisory services to customers in the areas of gpi, bank on-boarding, etc. to enable them to maximize their benefit from the use of SWIFT products and services
Ensure all advisory services scoped and delivered are performed on time and budget, and in line with documented scope and deliverables
Liaise with internal stakeholders for pre-delivery and post-delivery project follow up: internal reporting, pre-sales, account management, customer support etc.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously (i.e. Project kick-off planning, scheduling, coordination and administration of engagements
Comply with internal quality assurance, reporting and administration processes

Advisory Services Development

Assess evolving market situation, identify new business opportunities, key drivers and fundamental pain points that can lead to the development of new services offerings in the region
Improve and develop new services offerings in the area of gpi, corporates and other areas relevant to SWIFT in the region

Qualifications

University degree in Banking and Finance, Business or equivalent

2-5 years of relevant work experience in the financial services industry, with in-depth working knowledge on cross border payments and transaction banking. Candidates are likely to have worked in either of the following environments:

Operations department of a major regional or global bank; or
Consulting or product management role in a major financial services software vendor or consulting firm

Fluent written and spoken English

Fluency in an Asian language such as Mandarin or Bahasa would be added advantage

Strong knowledge of the SWIFT business is an asset
Possession of PMP or equivalent certification is an advantage
Proven experience in customer facing activities
Strong analytical skills

Self-driven and autonomous

Offer flexibility and willingness to travel and work abroad with customers (30-40% annual)
