About this role

A Leading British Architectural studio are seeking an experienced Architect to join their Hong Kong Office. A key aspect of this role will be to take the lead on coordination and liaison with the clients, LDI and local contractors for projects based in China. You will be well versed on delivering large scale and complex architectural projects. Fluency in Mandarin is paramount, combined with strong communication skills in English.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for client liaison in Chinese, excellent interpersonally and relationship building skills in both English and Chinese.
• Independently and or with a team, be able to oversee design stages, coordination and delivery of large scale projects.
• Consistently review work for design integrity, accuracy, clarity and quality, and be confident in addressing areas of concern.
• Technically competent, able to execute and oversee complex drawing packages in AutoCAD.
• You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects including cultural, infrastructure, mixed use and commercial.

Education and Skill Requirements

• Qualification in Architecture – RIBA or HKIA preferred
• Proven experience Architecture working on complex projects (4 years minimum).
• Ability to prioritize and concurrently service multiple projects.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective problem solving and interpersonal skills.
• Travel may be required.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, InDesign, Microsoft Word and Outlook preferred.
• LEED accreditation preferred but not essential.
