Job Description

FACILITIES MANAGEMENT OFFICE

Assistant Facilities Officer (Facilities Management Service) (Ref. 19010715-E5)

Duties

The appointee will report to the Client Services Section and be required to:

(a) provide routine facilities management services to all campus premises including teaching venues;

(b) lead a team of skilled front-line staff to carry out daily operation, repair and maintenance works to ensure that the facilities management services meet customers’ needs;

(c) assist the supervisors in liaising and co-ordinating with different parties to carry out client-focused facilities management services, including daily repair, maintenance and inspection works, and monitor contractors’ works;

(d) follow up the job orders and handle customer enquiries including venue booking;

(e) liaise with other units of the Office and contractors regarding the implementation of repair and planned maintenance works as well as other facilities management services;

(f) monitor the progress and quality of work performed by both internal technical staff and external contractors;

(g) perform shift duties including working on Saturdays/Sundays/public holidays when necessary; and

(h) handle any other duties as assigned by the Director of Office or his delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should have:

(a) a recognised certificate/diploma in Building, Building Services, Facilities Management or a related discipline;

(b) relevant post-qualification experience with sound knowledge of facilities management industry;

(c) a good command of both Chinese and English, preferably with fluency in Putonghua;

(d) sound knowledge of office computer softwares including MS Office and preferably with knowledge of AutoCAD; and

(e) good communication and interpersonal skills.

Remuneration and Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement. Applicants should state their current and expected salary in the application.
