We are now seeking to hire a proactive and highly organized Accounting Clerk to join our Finance team.

Reporting to the Finance and Accounting Manager, this position is responsible for maintaining proper accounting records by accurately and efficiently computing, classifying, preparing, recording and verifying financial data. As well as manage the full spectrum of Account Receivable functions such as collection and credit control. 60% of the work relate to credit control. The successful applicant will have at least 1 years’ relevant credit collection experience. Good communication skills with client is essential.

Job Description:

Credit Control

• Direct contact with the client to follow up on outstanding payment and facilitate cash collection.
• Facilitate collection by providing sales support such as following up on invoices and credit notes request from clients.
• Constant monitoring and supervision of the overdue portfolio;
• Tackle the “hard-to-collect” cases with sales department
• Enforcement of local and Global credit policy
• Liaise with Italian HQ and delivering monthly reports (top debtors analysis, DSOs, etc.)

Accounting Duties

• Perform daily accounting duties and month end closing entries.
• Organize, secure, and maintain all files, records, cash and cash equivalents in accordance with policies and procedures
• Classify, code, and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records, using journals, ledgers, and/or computers
• Complete period-end closing procedures and reports as specified
• Prepare, review, reconcile, and issue bills, invoices, and reconciliation and account statements according to company procedures.
• Assist in cash forecast and maintain fixed asset register.
• Prepare, maintain, and distribute statistical, financial, accounting, auditing reports and / or tables
• Assist in adhoc projects.

Requirements:

• Bachelor / Associate Degree or equivalent in Accounting or related field
• At least 1 years’ accounting or bookkeeping experience. Knowledge of basic accounting procedures is essential.
• At least 1 year experience in credit collection.
• Effective communication skills required
• Must possess good problem-solving, multi- tasking and organizational skills
• Good computer software skills necessary. Must possess basic Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook skills
• Fluent in both oral and written English and Cantonese.
