Associate Accountant (Self-financed Programmes Section) (Ref. 19011607-IE)

Duties
 
The appointee will be responsible for the following duties:
 
(a)    performing general accounting duties including financial accounting, management accounting and budgeting;

(b)    developing and administering the financial management information systems;

(c)    liaising with and providing support to departments/subsidiaries of the University on accounting-related matters, such as financial management of self-financed programmes/courses;

(d)    handling general office administration; and

(e)    performing any other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance and her delegates.
 
Qualifications  
 
Applicants should:
 
(a)    have a recognised degree in Accounting or related disciplines;

(b)    have at least two years of post-qualification experience in accounting, auditing or other related fields;  

(c)    have preferably passed a professional accounting examination or equivalent;

(d)    have proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Access, Excel, Word and PowerPoint; with possession of advanced knowledge of Excel/Access VBA being an advantage;

(e)    be able to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English and Chinese; and  

(f)    have good communication and interpersonal skills.  

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Remuneration and Conditions of Service
 
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.  Applicants should state their current and expected salary in the application.
