Job Description

Position Summary

Jardine Matheson is looking for a passionate and highly efficient Human Resources Officer at the group level.  Reports to Head of Compensation and Employment, you will be responsible for employment and reward administration to ensure that it is executed timely, correctly and professionally in line with procedures, company directives and legal regulation.  You will also be involved in supporting the ongoing development and implementation of various HR transformation projects to automate and streamline our HR process or to deliver innovative solutions within the operation.


Role & responsibilities

  • Execute timely and accurate administration of payroll and employment related procedures
  • Handle employment process in employees lifecycle from on-boarding to exit
  • Manage and maintain contracts, personnel record and other employee information
  • Participate in the management and development of the HR system; ensuring that data is accurate and the system is used effectively to support the HR operation
  • Coordinate with host entities and other stakeholders on secondees' employment and tax related matters
  • Evaluates jobs for developing compensation and benefits program
  • Handle employment related insurance policy renewal and claims
  • Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports to facilitate management's decision
  • Participate in regular projects (e.g. annual salary & bonus reviews, incentive reviews) and remuneration surveys

  • Demonstrate good judgement and decision making skills, sensitive to business priorities
  • Strong in data analytics
  • Ability to communicate and co-operate effectively with others
  • Approachable, responsive, results oriented, proactive, strong ethics and diplomatic with the ability to handle matters in a sensitive and professional way
  • Proficient in MS Office and Chinese word processing; knowledge of HR/Payroll system is a plus
  • Degree holder in any discipline, 2-3 years relevant experience preferably in sizeable organization, knowledge of employment ordinance and regulations
