Job Posting Details

The appointee will join the central administrative team in the Dean’s Office to provide support in functional areas such as human resources, quality assurance, research administration, special projects, etc. The appointee will need to deal with academic and administrative staff at different levels and interact regularly with both internal and external parties. His/Her duties include handling staff and faculty review and appointments, compiling data and preparing executive and analytical reports on teaching and research, providing secretarial support to task forces, committees and meetings, providing administrative support to school centers and special projects, and performing any other ad hoc duties.

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree with good honors, and at least 5 years' post-qualification work experience, preferably in a tertiary education setting. Experience in human resources, quality assurance, research administration, secretarial work or report writing would be advantageous. The appointee should have excellent communication skills in English and Chinese (fluency in Putonghua is an advantage). He/She should be mature, responsible and discreet in handling confidential information with excellent interpersonal and presentation skills. He/She should also be able to perform multiple tasks under defined timeline, and work independently and as a team. Working outside normal office hours may be required. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
