Job Description

Responsibilities:

Business Needs Identification

  • Conduct a learning needs analysis as needed with IMPACTIVA’s department leaders to uncover learning gaps and design or improve current courses / seminars
  • Develop learning plans for the company

Content Development

  • Lead and manage the Content Development Team by defining their goals and verifying that all content developed is world-class in design and delivery and adheres to ISD (Instructional System Design) and CRI (Criterion-Referenced Instruction) methodologies
  • Acquire external learning resources in order to increase IMPACTIVA’s content development and delivery capabilities and create a cost flexible organization

Develop Learning Infrastructures

  • Provide and execute calendar with seminar schedule to ensure TM’s continuous education in both hard and soft skills
  • Develop IMPACTIVA’s LMS (Learning Management System) for internal online learning to improve the efficiency of knowledge transfer
  • Develop IMPACTIVA’s LMS for Instructor-Led Training (ILT) that focuses on coaching, role playing, exercises, games, etc
  • Develop a pool of Subject Matter Experts (both internally and externally) to expand learning resources and promote continuous learning

Learning Execution

  • Organize tie-ups with factories (footwear, apparel, leather, fabric mills…) to conduct 4+4 learning (4 hours in classroom, 4 hours in factory action learning for new technical hires
  • Control the quality of learning provided by the Learning Team (trainers) to ensure consistency in delivery
  • Mentor and coach all the learning coordinators in the Chennai, India and Dongguan, China offices
  • Design a system for the speedy / accurate updating of all course content as soon as changes in processes/procedures are approved by the R&D (Research & Development) Team 

Learning Metrics

  • Create and monitor the metrics to measure the success of all learning, including at the organization, course, and individual level
  • Monitor the success of the “On-the-Job Learning Program” assuring that all coaches are duly trained to be able to assume the responsibilities of the “On-the-Job Learning Program”

Requirements:

  • Minimum 15 years in Learning and Development at a major multi-national with a minimum of 5 years as a Leader
  • University degree
  • Experience in providing Learning in a manufacturing and service environment
  • Experience in managing course calendar and attendance
  • Experience in leading, coaching, and managing a team of trainers
  • Experience monitoring the execution of learning via well-defined KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)
  • Experience as a trainer including delivering “Train the Trainer” programs
  • Experience in administering an LMS to update the content of all technical courses as processes/procedures are updated in the field
  • Experience in training both mid-management and senior executives on a variety of soft skill topics
  • Experience in conducting virtual training programs
  • Self-motivated, hands-on, and self-led with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% of time
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Excellent computer skills: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
