Job Description

Position Objective

To develop and track annual Headcount, G&A, Marketing and Investment Budgets within the agreed Daimler AG targets.

 

Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate and consolidate the annual and updated 1st/ 2nd/ 3rd EA forecasts for the yearly G&A, Marketing and Investment Budgets to ensure Daimler AG Budget targets are met.
  • Analyse and monitor actual spendings for G&A, Marketing and Investments as well as co-ordination across all functional departments to ensure annual budgets are met.
  • Propose the cost savings initiatives and the quantification of any new cost saving measures/ business case analyses to achieve overall company targets.
  • Assist in reviewing the Budget Utilization Template for Purchase Requisitions Approval and review of all the required documents for the procurement process.
  • Perform monthly closing in SAP to allocate G&A & Marketing costs to cost centres and subsequently to Business Units according to defined allocation cycles/ keys. Maintain and update budgets, allocation cycles and master data in the Controlling module/ SAP system on a regular basis to reflect the updated planning for the current/ next year.                                                                                                               
  • Perform monthly actuals consolidation including reconciliation of B/S at the Business Units level within DAG group consolidation guidelines and in close co-operation with the local accounting team.
  • Prepare the monthly report for actuals for submission
  • Assist to review the local policies & guidelines to ensure the alignment with corporate policies & guidelines. Prepare financial quantification of all risks and opportunities for Risk Management.
  • Compliance with Internal Control requirements
    • Develop, review, streamline and implement internal control policies and guidelines including, but not limited to internal requirements so as to improve the business operations and comply with both global and local requirements
  • Regular monitoring and execution of control activities to fulfill Internal Control requirements

 

Requirements

  • Degree in Business Administration, major in Accounting or related Finance degree
  • At least 6 years’ experience in the field of Finance, Planning and Controlling
  • Advanced proficiency level for both Excel and PowerPoint 
  • Good working knowledge of SAP, Controlling module 
  • Knowledge of Planning & Controlling methods 
  • Mindset of continuous improvement and able to propose enhancements for operational efficiencies and effectiveness
  • Knowledge and experience in handling various compliance and internal controls tasks
  • Sensitive to figures, attentive to details and high accuracy of work
  • Highly analytical and logical with structured thinking and solid problem-solving skills 
  • Strong intercultural, communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and be a team player
  • Able to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Candidates with less experience will also be considered as Senior Executive or Executive
