Technical Support Assistant (Ref. 13080901)
 
Duties
 
The appointee will be required to:
 
(a)   create ideas for video projects;
 
(b)   perform video shooting with different formats of camera such as DSLR;
 
(c)   handle post-production work individually including video and audio editing, video compositing and DVD authoring;
 
(d)   provide assistance to students in workshops and student projects; and
 
(e)   perform any other duties as assigned by the Dean of School or his delegates.
 

Qualifications

 
Applicants should:
 
(a)  have an honours degree or a higher diploma in Multimedia or relevant disciplines with at least one year’s relevant post-qualification working experience;
 
(b)  possess knowledge of cinematography (lighting and camera) and pre-production;
 
(c)  be proficient in video and audio editing software such as Adobe Premiere, Avid, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Photoshop and Protools; and
 
(d)  have excellent teamwork and communication skills.
 
Preference will be given to those with knowledge of visual effects, computer animation and linear editing.
 
Remuneration and Conditions of Service
 
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement. Applicants should state their current and expected salary in the application.
