Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Reporting directly to AHK-COO the post holder will originate and lead AHK human capital practices and objectives to provide an employee with an oriented high performance culture that emphasises safety, empowerment, quality, productivity, standards and goal attainment
  • Formulate, implement and periodically review all AHK HR policies and practices in compliance with local employment legislation
  • Advise COO and make recommendations relating to remuneration, taxation, benefits and allowance entitlements for all AHK staff in Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia
  • Act as primary point of contact for Department Managers on all personnel issues
  • Administer, with regard to company policies and interest, areas concerning the wellbeing, morale, safety and welfare of all AHK employees
  • Ensure personal data, personal files and other information related to AHK and its employees are accurate, secured and shared in compliance with Hong Kong and overseas jurisdictional legislation
  • Manage and oversee all payroll activities to ensure accuracy and compliance with all jurisdictional requirements and satisfy any local taxation salary reporting and withholding requirements
  • Be responsible for recruitment and the ongoing development of AHK employees and instigate, manage, and analyse the annual performance reviews for employees
  • Monitor and manage the company website to ensure both the external and internal content meets company standards and requirements
  • Budget forecasts and monitoring for the HR department
  • Oversee general office administration, procurement, office maintenance and efficiency

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree holder in HR Management or Business Administration with at least 10 years HR management and office administration experience with 5 years people management experience
  • Fully conversant and up-to-date with employment laws and HR best practices in all areas of operation
  • Excellent written English skills with fluency in English and Chinese an advantage
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office applications and LAN administration
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills to meet deadlines
  • Pro-active and self-motivated, co-operative and supportive team player with excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • Salary commensurate with experience
