Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Director, Project Development in managing and planning all capital/non-capital works projects of the Company to ensure projects are accomplished in time, within budget, to required quality and safety standards;
  • Be responsible for financial, contractual and procedural management of the works projects;
  • Lead the procurement process for selection/appointment of consultants / contractors and follow up on subsequent management and monitoring of their performance;
  • Participate in technical studies, prepare cost plans, comparative cost studies, life cycle costing, value management, contract management, etc.;
  • Provide professional advice in procurement methods, tendering strategy, contract arrangements, insurance / bond arrangements, etc. and establish the related procedures;
  • Review and advise on claim issues, and implement preventive measures for minimizing future contractual claims and disputes by consultants and contractors;
  • Prepare financial reports, budget plans, cash flow forecast, accruals, etc.;
  • Prepare Papers and Reports for approval by the Board, Committees and Task Force of the Company;
  • Ensure compliance with the Company’s guidelines and Delegation Authority for works projects;
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by Director, Project Development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree or above in Quantity Surveying, Building, Engineering or related disciplines;
  • Member of a recognized local professional institute in Quantity Surveying, Building, Engineering or related disciplines;
  • Minimum 10 years’ relevant working experience with at least 5 years post-qualification working experience gained from property developer, consultants or statutory bodies. Candidates with at least 5 years’ at managerial level is preferable;
  • Familiar with Government practices and procedures;
  • Knowledge of statutory requirements and procedures for development projects in Hong Kong;
  • Self-driven, independent, problem solving with good interpersonal skill;
  • Proactive with excellent negotiation and presentation skills;
  • Good analytical mind and strong marketing sense;
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint;
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
