Mondays to Fridays 4pm-6pm (or 6:30pm when required)

To be qualified for an interview, you must be:

• A relatively newly-qualified TEFL teacher, with at least some experience in the classroom.
• Deeply interested in pursuing Phonics teaching (helping children read, using synthetic phonics!)
• Able to produce neutral or native English accent in speaking.
• Open to learning the right way of teaching synthetic phonics!
• Have excellent grammar.
• Willing to learn, and take initiative in own work.
• Playful and likes working with kids aged 2 to 12.
• Punctual, responsible and dependable.
• Professional with good work ethic and think yourself to have kindness, patience and integrity.

Your role may also include holding assessments, progress reviews, parent communication and curriculum-related task in non-teaching hours.

You are required to come 10 minutes before the start of your classes, attend meetings and trainings.

This is a school year 2018-2019 contract position for now until August 31, 2019.  “Permanent” positions may be offered after working with us for a year.

Benefits include:

• Monthly salary rates which means paid week-day public holidays and typhoon days. Our Literacy Centre is closed and on holiday (paid) on the last week of December.

Our offer is fixed at HKD10,000 monthly for 10 hours' (12.5 hours when required) work per week. As a literacy centre, we prefer new TEFL graduates seeking to specialize in teaching phonics, and writing. You must also be initiative, professional and passionate about teaching children how to read.
